And I’m grateful that he did.
Everything we go through in life has the ability to change us if we accept it.
Using repetitive mantras are the best way to improve oneself.
Everytime he said the thing, I heard it.
It was a reminder to me that I could do it too, and I had no excuse.
If I’m The Dude’s Dad, I have to be honest, it’s the hardest challenge I’ve ever loved going through.
My first blog was titled, Just a Dude.
Over 15 years ago. While I’ve had several blogs, Road Map to Understanding, Souldiers 4 Peace, The Movie Whore, The Movie Whore Revisited, Khaos Consulting, and a few others, The Church of Rock n Roll is my Church.
Let me explain.
Music is something that touches each and everyone of us. It doesn’t matter what music you listen to, if speaks to your soul, that’s church.
Everyone has different tastes, for me if it’s not rock n roll, fuck the fuck off.
I do like piano.
This kind of honesty is the progress my son has made with me. We did it together.
That’s the thing about parenting, you do it with your kids. Not doing it to your kids.
Allowing my son to be my friend and my son, is why it worked.
Now, I have zero say over what my son does and I’m glad for that. He knows what hes doing, so now all I have to do is be his friend.
Now, I use mantras daily.
I woke up today, the rest is gravy.
I forgive everyone of everything so that I can put peace in my heart mind and soul.
I never try, I do.
I never try, I work at it.
I cannot fail because I never try, I do and I work at all I do.
I have zero control and I let go into the flow.
Things of this nature.
