I wrote this book more than 10 years ago. It was my first fictional book.

Away we go.

Chapter 1

In the beginning I didn’t write anything down. I didn’t have a language to write it
in. I was pure energy colliding with matter and gases that only now I can tell you
about. I had to wait for you to develop before I could tell you about myself. Who
am I?

That’s a bit of a complex answer. I was born something like a human and I became
a god and decided to be just a man, but some know me as The Devil and others might call me God, you can call me Clay the Silver Bard.

For any of this to make sense I am going to the beginning and will give you a brief overview of how it all works. I hope you pay attention, there is a test later.

Oh and forget everything you think you know, things changed and this is your notice.

The Order of The Universe as it stands.

The Supreme Being: Neither male nor female and without form. It is the essence
of life that makes up everything. In simplest terms, you are god as much as your
dog is god as much as that cup of coffee is god. Everything is a face or facet of the
Supreme Being. We exist so that the Supreme Being may exist. It is a consciousness
that is the Universe.

The Light: Is all that sentient life strives for in purity and potential.

The Void: The Light was born out of the void and the void contains everything that
cannot exist in the light.

Silver: There is no other term to explain what binds the darkness to the light. It is the line that reflects the light back and keeps the dark things at bay. It is the line between heaven and hell and its guardians have been unknown until now.

Duality: God is the Devil and the Devil is God, get over it, accept it and move on.

Think of The Rolling Stones, “…Just as every cop is a criminal, And all the sinners
saints…”

Even you have your light and dark side and if we all exist as reflections of the Divine, then even the Divine has its dark side. The mirror is the reflection of who you are, right now, in this moment.

Golden Essence: Every planet in existence has at its core a Golden essence of being
that provides for the souls who are having their corporeal experience on their
world. Some like Gaia create carbon based life, others use other elements found throughout the universe, some you know, many you don’t. There as many different
kinds of sentient beings as you can imagine and many more. Every world is different, even if only subtly by comparison to some.

Souls: Facets of the Supreme Being that may choose to have a corporeal experience on any world in existence. Once a soul starts it begins in that world at the lowest soul level or the lowest form of life sustainable on that world.

The corporeal evolves and the essence learns the soul and what shape to give it for the
next progression when it dies. The essence provides what is needed on the planet
for the next progression or evolution of corporeal beings. These progressions make
way for the next souls.

Once a sentient humanoid life form has evolved a soul will make this trip as many
items as it needs to before it reaches its final progression to rejoin with the Supreme Being, remain a guardian of their world or choose to experience life through another world.

If a soul chooses to remain a guardian of their world, they become an immortal half ascended being. They have access to the Supreme Beings consciousness and act as the voice of the Supreme Being on their world. It is rare that a soul chooses this existence.

Think for a moment of yourself, how would you like to be the voice of God for the next few hundred thousand years?

Immortality takes a certain kind of crazy. You have to accept that everyone you will
love will die. However the nice part is that you might get to see them on their next
ride or you may be the one that sends them home. Either way, it works on the back
end if you can take the repeated loss. It’s why it happens so rarely.

I’m new to the gig, but the last guy, as much as he knew it was time it was hard to
give up caring for so many children as their father. As a father I understand how
hard it will be for me to someday step down and take my place with the creator. I
am happy to say my reign just started so I have a long time to before I even have to
worry about it.

I am nothing like the Devil you expected am I?

Neither was the last guy. I was as surprised as you to see how this all works and how
simple it really is. The fun part is that the last guy’s soul joined with me and while I
remain the face so to speak, he is ever present, ever guiding, and ever protecting.
He has become my subconscious or my higher self. My former self is out and
about wandering and stops in from time to time to update me on goings on in the
lives of my loved ones. My new self, well he is guiding me to all his children, the ones he fathered over the years. He wants to meet the family and this is their story as much as it is mine and his.

This is how I became The Silver Bard.

Now a quick tutorial on how your world works and yes, I will be talking directly to
you a good chunk of the time. I find it helps me tell the stories better if I feel like I
am there with you. Sit back and relax and let me tell you the stories of your lives, the ones you may have lived and the ones yet to live, the choice is yours.
