Authenticity.

What is it?

Authenticity is the quality of being genuine, real, and true to one’s own personality, spirit, or character. It means acting in alignment with your personal values, beliefs, and motives, rather than conforming to the expectations of others.

Seems straight forward enough that I don’t get why people write articles on the subject.

Most of the shit you’ll read about being authentic comes from writers who care too much about what you think as if it matters to them.

Totally unauthentic.

They need, want people to like them.  They figure if they write about authenticity it will show their authentic. Nothing could be further from the truth.

New Earth Consciousness from Medium springs to mind. A bunch of people who have no clue what the new Earth is.

Consciousness is primary. 

From the name you would think they’re going to tell you how to find that new consciousness.

I get maybe 3 or 4 likes on my own blog and on Medium I get an average of 10 claps.

I don’t write thinking about how many people will like it.

I write truth and that means I piss more people off than those who like it.

I get it.

Come as you are.

Never think about anyone’s opinion.

That is a trap too many fall into and they don’t even see it or think about it.

If I cared what people think of me, I would shoot myself in the head.

That’s what authenticity means to me.

Fuck off with what others think.

God loves me, well God loves everything and everyone because well, it’s God and that’s what God does.

I don’t care if people don’t like me, because I probably wouldn’t like them even though I love them.

There’s a difference between like and love.

You can love and not like.
