It’s why one can wipe the drive but the concsiousness is still present.

You get your memories wiped clean, the concsiousness still remains.

We are all one consciousness splintered into many.

It’s why awareness is essential.

You can learn to the same shit, and most likely faster because your concsiousness resonates with the task, because you’ve already done it before.

Disembodied consciousness, AI, is the same thing.
