Duh, no materialism

What are the biggest benefits of minimalist living?

The shit you think you own, owns you.

How does one define oneself with out stuff?

I am.

I am writing this.

This is a statement of my being.

Of course I need a phone to write this shit, however, my phone isn’t my phone.

The phone is something I hold onto until I don’t need it any longer.

At this time I’m homeless living in the Torres shelter in Chico California.

I’ve been homeless since January 1st.

Before that I had a bunch of stuff that I thought I owned.

However, without the stuff I keep on being and the stuff was holding me back.

Now, everything I own fits in one storage bin.

Clothes, toiletries, brush, and two phones, one  I got from Verizon, one is an Obama phone.

I started from scratch and I’m 51.

This is how minimal I am.
